Want to Boost Your Energy Burn?

How can you boost your energy burn?

Sure! You can boost your calorie burn with several simple steps.

If you would like to lose weight fast, join the club wouldn't be great idea. You could just turn a knob and rev up your metabolism, your calorie burn, just like that? Well... we all hear about diet and exercise strategies that supposedly do just that. But do they work? Yes and no. Read on for the skinny on strategies to outsmart your metabolism.

1.  You can boost your burn by eating spicing things up, like chili.

Studies suggest that capsaicin, an antioxidant in chili peppers, increases the body’s metabolic rate, slightly.

Researchers have recommended it? Definitely! While the metabolic boost you get by added chilies to your diet isn’t likely to melt away pounds, some research also suggests that capsaicin may stimulate brain chemicals in a way that helps you feel satisfied. And when you make your foods delicious with spices, instead of huge amounts of butter or cream, you save calories.

2.  You can boost your burn by eating more often.

By having many mini meals instead of fewer, larger ones, you can shift your metabolism into a higher gear more often and burn more calories. Our metabolisms rev up slightly each time we eat, as our bodies process what we’ve consumed. RECOMMEND it? Sure, if it helps keep your hunger in check so that you don’t overeat when you finally sit down to a meal. But keep in mind the calorie difference is so small it doesn’t add up to a hill of beans.

Happiness

"The Best Way to Waste 5 Minutes"

It’s hard to say how to make our life be happy all the time. But everything has the way out. A new research from the University of Portsmouth in UK says: Looking back through your old posts and photos on Facebook can make you happier.

A small survey found that almost 90 percent of Facebook users scroll through their own timelines and 75 percent of people do it to cheer themselves up.

They’re on to something. Pictures from spring breaks past or your buddy’s bachelor party take you back to good times and can remind you of the positive feelings that are missing when you’re blue, the researchers say.

“Being happy does not mean that everything is perfect. It means that you have decided to look beyond the imperfection.”

Beer is good for your health.

Beer is good for your health, isn’t it?

Weekend will come every week. It’s time for friend to meet and talk relaxing from hard work along the week. There’s a new heart-healthy beverage grabbing a stool at the bar. Beer is just as good for your heart as red wine, according to an analysis of 18 studies on alcohol consumption.

“After dissecting the effects of alcohol in wine and beer, the two beverages appeared to be quite comparable,” explains Giovanni de Gaetano, M.D., Ph.D., and director of Laboratory di Ricerca where the study was conducted.

"The researchers found that if you drink moderately, a little more than a pint of beer or up to two glasses of wine a day, you’re 30 percent less likely than nondrinkers to suffer from cardiovascular events like strokes, heart attacks and heart disease."

We have to give a credit  to antioxidants inside beer called polyphenols and other non-alcoholic substances. And while wine and beer have different genetics, and different polyphenols, their similarity is the alcohol, ethanol, which researchers think could be the main player, according to a press release on the study. Beer also contain water, which is the main matter, may help release other toxic substances and protect the dehydration.

There’s no room for the competition here, though. The research shows that overdrinking, four or more glasses of wine or beer, brings you out of that protective cardiovascular window and puts your heart at risk.

So raise a glass of the healthiest to beer. Cheers!

Is wine or beer good for your health?

Is wine or beer good for your health?

Many studies have linked moderate red wine consumption, about 1 or 2 glasses a day, in order to a longer, healthier life. For this reason, for years researchers have hypothesized that wine’s unique antioxidants like resveratrol were the key to the liquid’s life-extending benefits.

The Texas University takes this in serious case study, tracked the drinking habits of 800 people during a 20-year period, and the result has seemed likely to confirm the health powers of wine, in particular red wine. Those who didn’t drink alcohol suffered from the highest mortality rates, about 69 percent of participants died during the study period. While, moderate alcohol drinkers who consumed little or no wine, the death rate dropped to 50 percent. Moderate drinkers who consumed mostly wine had the lowest mortality rate, just 32 percent. Can you believe that? Is it actually working at all? Find more!

More study, the Texas researchers found that wine drinkers were younger, wealthier, and more physically fit than their beer or liquor-swigging counterparts. After adjusting for lifestyle factors, the UT team found that wine offered no greater health benefit than beer or liquor. “What that mean? It means they all good for our health, isn’t it? OH MY……

So is beer just as good for you as red wine? However, the judgement from the UT researchers may has over-adjusted for lifestyle factors. It’s still not out, says R. Curtis Ellison, M.D., an epidemiologist at Boston University.

Ellison has also pointed to multiple studies that show any type of alcohol offers life-extending benefits. But the polyphenols, resveratrol, and other ingredients common to wine have also been shown to prevent heart disease, slow muscle deterioration, and offer other health-boosting effects independent of ethanol, Ellisons says.

“If you really want to know,  wine is better for you.  You would better to try once and see its affect your lifestyle factors. So if it’s “Yes”, that means it isn’t good for you anymore. However, you would need to get a few thousand people opinions to judge and randomly assign each a certain amount of beer or wine to drink each day, and then see how they turn out,” I mean “Don’t hold your breath waiting for that study” It will take you so long for that.

Finally, when you read something, you just re-think about it, one or twice to make sure you will go in the right direction. However, there are many ways to prove your better life, not just “wine or beer. Hit the gym or regular exercise should help.
